2004 Teacher Institute
The Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library offered a three-day Teachers’ Institute during the summer of 2004 entitled “The Civil War: Virginia at a Crossroads.” The presentations were geared to 4th and 5th grade teachers and provided in-depth study of an important era covered in Virginia SOLs. A variety of activities, classroom lesson plans, and interpretive materials were incorporated in the presentations. The institute was sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Bank of America.
