Description
Discover Woodrow Wilson's inspiring journey as he begins his presidential campaign as governor of New Jersey and eventually wins the highest office in the country. The story of our 28th president comes to life as you explore interactive exhibits including listening to audio from Wilson and his two other noted opponents in the 1912 election -- former Presidents William Howard Taft and Teddy Roosevelt. Democrat Wilson earned 42 percent of the vote, defeating his nearest rival Roosevelt, who ran as the Progressive Party nominee and garnered 27 percent. Cast your own ballot for the 1912 election which will be tabulated in November 2012 in time for this fall's Election Day.
This interactive exhibit is one of several changing exhibits that will be at the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Museum during 2012-2021 as part of the Wilson 100 campaign celebrating the 100th anniversary of President Wilson's presidency.
